1.Can you give us on what is going on with the band these days?
Well, we've released a video clip for our song "Bécik" and people really seem to dig it. We are also starting to play outside of our home area, which is huge for us, because we've basically been playing Montreal for the most part of our shows, so now we'll get to see new faces and hopefully do more shows around the province and the country.
2.So far you have released an ep and a full length, how would you describe the musical sound that is presented on both of the recordings and also how do they differ from each other?
The first record was a bit more old school, we were discovering new things and trying to find what musical directions we wanted to take to create our sound. The second time around with "An Atomic Decision" we had defined our sound somewhat, but there was still something missing... That one magic spice. So we added some "Caliente Mexicano Flammento" flavors to the mix, which explains the more aggressive sound in our music.
3.What are some of the lyrical topics and subjects the band explores with the music?
We write about things that are going on in our actuality the way we see it. Like violence, murders, drugs, the health system... We try to no overdo it or anything and just stay true to what we think.
4.What is the meaning and inspiration behind the name 'Pronostic'?
Pronostic is french for "Prognostic". It is a medical term used to predict what the patient's symptoms/ illness will develop into, which is pretty metal. And we can all sort of relate to it since we don't know what's coming and can only predict what we think is going to happen in the future.
5.What are some of the best shows that the band has played so far and also how would you describe your stage performance?
We've had the chance to play awesome shows with bands like Dying Fetus, Beyond Creation, Anonymus, Self Collapse, B.A.R.F. , Obey The Brave, Brought By Pain.... Just to name a few.
Our stage performance is very active. La Vie becomes an absolute monster when we perform hahaha. We just have fun and do our thing, while having visual contact with the crowd. We believe in interacting with the crowd/ fans as much onstage as off stage.
6.Do you have any touring or show plans for the future?
For right now we're just trying to play shows outside of the Montreal area. We may be going in the works for a tour this summer, but that's not for sure though. We do have a headlining show booked this summer with our boiiz in First Fragment, Unbreakable Hatred and About: BlanK at The Foufounes Electriques in Montreal which we are very stoked about.
7.Currently you are unsigned, are you looking for a label or have received any interest"
We are looking for a label, but haven't really gotten any interest so far. It's as easy as it is difficult to get a decent record contract - let alone being approached by a record label for a future partnership at all. We can't just wait on getting signed to keep our music alive though, so we'll just keep doing what we do and try to push ourselves to the next level. If we do get approached, well... That's another case we have yet to open.
8.On a worldwide level how has the feedback been to your music by fans of melodic and technical death metal?
It has been extremely good. We've had a certain amount of feedback from some people in France and a few european countries with "Deviated Inner Spectrum". But when we released "An Atomic Decision", oh man, we've been getting orders from pretty much everywhere around the world and people are writting to us about how they love our music and hope to see us play in their country, which is pretty rad, man. We were even top sellers in the Tech Death Metal category on Bandcamp.com! Plus we've been getting great reviews for An Atomic Decision, which is awesome.
9.Are any of the band members involved with any bands or musical projects these days?
Le Fou currently has a deathcore band called Rosewood, a punk band called Gilbert & Les Amis de Tom with whom he also does a Tony Hawk's Pro Skater tribute and his side project Abort The Child which will hopefuly soon be coming back into the works.
La Vie has an acoustique duo called LaVie.tv with Gilbert from Le Fou's punk band. They do covers and might be writing their own compositions as well. He also plays bass in Abort The Child and has a Cypress Hill tribute called Cypress Chill and does a few featuring's in Montreal's Limp Bizkit tribute called Pimp Bizkit.
10.Where do you see the band heading into musically during the future?
We basically try to stick to our recipe while adding new elements to make it more interesting. We don't try to be repetitive, we want to bring something new to the table.
11.What are some of the bands or musical styles that have had an influence on your newer music and also what are you listening to nowadays?
The musical world and the music industry are constantly evolving with every step we take. We are influenced by practically all styles and types of music, which is why you can hear many different styles of riffs in our songs. We aren't hooked to one particular style of music. It's sort of like a painting. You can paint with only one color and be amazing at it, but it would get boring if everyone is doing the same thing. By adding different colors and textures to your painting, you can create a beautiful masterpiece and the combinations are endless.
12.What are some of your non musical interests?
Cooking, hunting, fishing, drinking, going to shows, movies, trips, gaming, partying.
