Pyrrhon are a band from New York that plays a technical form of death metal but expands with this recording by bringing in elements of grindcore, experimental and noise rock and this is a review of their 2015 ep "Growth Without End" which was released as a joint effort between Selfmadegod Records and Handshake Inc.
A very heavy, progressive and technical death metal sound starts off the ep along with some growling vocals and when the music speeds up a great amount of brutal blast beats can be heard and the screaming vocals give the music a touch of grindcore and you can also hear all of the musical instruments that are present on the recording.
Throughout the recording you can hear a great mixture of slow, mid paced and fast parts while the solos and leads remain true to a very technical style of death metal and as the ep progresses the music starts getting more experimental and also brings in a touch of both math and noise rock while also remaining brutal at the same time and one song also brings in a brief use of spoken word parts.
Pyrrhon creates another recording t hat still has the technical and brutal death metal style of previous recordings and they change their sound around more incorporating more grind, math and noise rock without losing any brutality, the production sounds very professional while the lyrics cover reverse psychology themes.
In my opinion this is another great sounding recording from Pyrrhon and if you are a fan of this band, you should enjoy this ep. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Forget Yourself" and "Turing's Revenge". 8 out of 10.
