Atrocious Abnormality are a band from North Carolina that plays a very brutal form of gore/death metal and this is a review of their 2016 album "Formed In Disgust" which will be released in March by Comatose Music.
Horror movie samples start off the album and after a minute the music starts going into more of a melodic and heavy musical direction along with all of the musical instruments having a very powerful sound to them and when the music speeds up a great amount of blast beats are utilized in the music.
Guttural death metal growls can be heard quite a bit throughout the recording along with the songs bringing in a great mixture of slow, mid paced and fast parts and high pitched screams can also be heard in some parts of the tracks and as the album progresses the music starts getting a lot more brutal and none of the songs ever utilize any guitar solos or leads and spoken word samples also return in certain sections of the recording and the last track brings in a brief use of bluegrass sounds before reverting back to a brutal direction.
Atrocious Abnormality plays a style of death metal that is very brutal and guttural in the modern style of the genre, the production sounds very professional while the lyrics cover death and gore themes.
In my opinion Atrocious Abnormality are a very great sounding guttural, brutal death metal band and if you are a fan of this musical genre, you should check out this album. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Exterminate The Apostles" "Formed In Disgust" and "Incestry". 8 out of 10.
