Recueil Morbide are a band from France that plays a very brutal and slamming form of death metal and this is a review of their 2015 album "Morbid Collection" which was released by Great Dane Records.
A very fast and brutal sound starts off the album along with a great amount of blast beats as well as some high pitched screams and melodies that have a black metal feeling to them as well as a great amount of guttural growls and all of the musical instruments having a very powerful sound to them.
At times the vocals have a deathcore feeling to them and after awhile the songs start bringing in a great mixture of slow, mid paced and fast parts as well as having solos and leads that are in a very melodic musical direction and as the album progresses a small amount of spoken word parts and clean playing can be heard in some songs along with another track bringing in a brief use of clean singing while the main focus remains on a heavy and brutal sound.
Recueil Morbide plays a style of death metal that is very diverse, brutal and original sounding and if they would take the pig squeals out of the music they could be considered among some of the best brutal death metal bands out there, the production sound s very professional while the lyrics cover death, struggles and depression themes.
In my opinion Recueil Morbide are a very decent sounding brutal death metal band and if you are a fan of this musical genre, you should check out this recording. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Ritual Time" "Chronicle of A Decline Perversions" "Nightmarish Collapse" and "travel To See". 7 out of 10.
