Burning Caskets are a band from Canada that plays an old school form of anti-christian death metal and this is a review of their self released 2011 album "To Burn A False Prophet".
Drums range from slow, midpaced to fast drumming with some blast beats being thrown in at times, while the bass playing has a very dark tone with riffs that follow the riffing that is coming out of the guitars and at times they have a very powerful sound to them.
Rhythm guitars range from slow, midpaced to fast death riffs in the early 90's vein that have a thrash feel to them at times as well as some melodies being thrown in at times while the lead guitars are very distorted old school stles when they are utilized which is very rare.
Vocals are mostly deep death metal grows mixed in with a good amount of back up vocals, while the lyrics cover Anti Christian along with some other sick and hateful topics, as for the production it has a very raw and heavy sound to it.
In my opinion Burning Caskets are a very good old school style death metal band and if you are a fan of this style, you should check out this band. RECEMMONDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Covenent Of Hate" "Ressurection Of Filth" and "Prophecies Of A Blackened Sun". RECEMMONDED BUY.
